Louisiana experimental sludge metal duo Radiant Knife will release their sixth full-length album, Sankalpa, on November 13, 2026.
The record follows 2023’s Pressure and pushes the band’s heavy, off-kilter sound toward a more groove-driven and layered approach, combining dense rhythm guitars, atmospheric synth textures, floating vocals and progressive structures.
Radiant Knife — Stephen Sheppert on guitars, synth and vocals, and Greg Travasos on drums — describe Sankalpa as a more melancholic record that moves between heavy and melodic atmospheres while tying together the duo’s math metal, progressive and experimental influences.
The band has also unveiled the album’s title track, an eight-plus-minute instrumental that serves as the record’s centerpiece and first preview.
Sankalpa was recorded, mixed and mastered by Stephen Sheppert at Starless Sound, with artwork by Terry Grow. The album will be released digitally across streaming platforms.
