Armstrong MetalFest has announced the submission window for bands interested in playing its 2027 edition. Applications for the lineup will be accepted from October 1 through October 15.
The festival is scheduled to return to Hassen Arena in Armstrong, British Columbia on July 16 and 17, 2027. Organizers confirmed that tickets for the 2027 event will be announced at a later date.
According to the festival, admission will cover access to the festival grounds, the arena, and the camping area, with free camping included. The event notes that RV, non-hookup RV, and vehicle camping passes will require an additional fee for those reserving spots within the camping area, while vehicles parked in the main lot will not need a vehicle pass.
Armstrong MetalFest is organized by West Metal Entertainment, a non-profit society. The festival has been running since 2009, with pauses in 2020 and 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic. The organization says it supports the regional music scene through live events, including all-ages shows.
The 2026 edition featured co-headliners Rivers of Nihil and Dying Fetus alongside Cyborg Octopus, Into Eternity, Fervence, Vintersea, Lycanthro, Iron Kingdom, Odinfist, and Art of Attrition, among others.
In a statement cited in the announcement, Vernon Morning Star and Penticton Western News described the 2026 edition as having reached “new heights.”
