QUEMASANTOS – Stranded In Hell Out Now, With One Foot In Hell Lyric Video

QUEMASANTOS have released their second album, Stranded In Hell, through Digmetalworld. The One Foot In Hell lyric video features Masacre guitarist Juancho Gómez.

QUEMASANTOS have released Stranded In Hell, their second full-length album, through Digmetalworld, with worldwide distribution by MVD Entertainment Group. Out October 9, 2026, the heavy/thrash metal record is accompanied by a lyric video for opening track “One Foot In Hell,” featuring guest guitarist Juancho Gómez of Colombia’s Masacre.

The New York-based project with Chilean roots approaches Hell through eleven separate songs, linking fear, temptation, isolation and survival without requiring listeners to follow a continuous plot. In the announcement supplied by Asher Media Relations, vocalist and lyricist Nelson “Sr. Díaz” identifies dreams, literature, altered states of consciousness, religion, cinema, war and cosmic horror among the sources behind these chapters. Their imagery is intended to leave room for personal interpretation.

Classic heavy and thrash metal provide the musical foundation, with cinematic textures shaping the arrangements. The announcement connects that approach to the exchange between Díaz’s narratives and Ignacio Orellana’s experience in video editing: as Orellana developed the music, he imagined scenes unfolding, giving the compositions the movement and atmosphere of a soundtrack.

The recording also marks a change in how QUEMASANTOS assembled a full-length. For the first time, Orellana recorded the foundational drums, bass and guitars himself, while eleven guests supplied guitar solos. Contributors in Chile, the United States, Brazil and Colombia recorded remotely to shared technical specifications and sent their performances to New York. Orellana then handled production, mixing and mastering at Oily Sound Studios, bringing those individual recordings into a consistent album production.

Díaz supplied the vocals, concept and lyrics, with “Burning The Black” written by Orellana. That song gives the album’s exploration of suffering a personal basis: it draws on Orellana’s experience accompanying his wife, Ximena Muñoz, through her illness and coping with her death. Alongside the record’s fictional visions of Hell, the track addresses loss, resilience and the experience of making music during that period.

The running order opens with “One Foot In Hell,” featuring Juancho Gómez of Masacre, followed by “Burning The Black,” with Felipe Roa of Acaro, and “Succubus,” with Héctor Guzmán of Distraught. “Stalking Sharks” features Marco Cusato, while “Nameless” includes Joe Sims of Axemaster and “Red Planet” features Regisson Silva of Masterpiece.

The second half continues with “Vampire,” featuring Richard Pilnik; “The Oneironaut,” with Cristian Ira of Nimrod; and “Under The Moonlight,” featuring Sebastián Osorio of Reigning. “Before The Law,” with Yanko Tolić of Massakre, and “Lex Talionis,” featuring Enrique Zúñiga of Atomic Aggressor, complete the eleven-track album.

Vocal sessions took place at Estudios Ultrasónico with Arturo Contreras and Estudios Attic with Marco Cusato. Together with Orellana’s instrumental and production work, those sessions form the core of a release built around Díaz’s storytelling and the individual contributions of its guest soloists.

Stranded In Hell is available through the band’s Bandcamp page and on Spotify and Apple Music. Physical editions are offered through MVD Shop on CD and Digmetalworld as a digipack.
