EMBRACE OF SOULS have released an official live video for ‘The Plague’, bringing the third track from their concept album The Battle Of The Dead to the stage. The Italian epic/power metal band released the album on May 22, 2026, through Rockshots Records, in digital and digipak CD formats.

The official live video for ‘The Plague’ was filmed and edited by Simone ‘Morksar’ D’Addazio. Captured during a live performance, it features Simone Fornasini on keyboards and presents the direct, energetic approach described in the band’s announcement.

‘The Plague’ occupies a central position in the album’s fantasy narrative. Set in a medieval world divided into several kingdoms, The Battle Of The Dead follows a mysterious disease that affects people’s souls. Its spread gradually pushes the continent toward a conflict between the living and the dead.

The musical setting draws on heavy and power metal from the 1980s and 1990s, alongside the epic and symphonic metal tradition of the early 2000s. Melodic and theatrical elements frame the contrast between Giacomo Rossi’s vocals and Martina Mazzeo’s operatic voice, a pairing that has become a key component of EMBRACE OF SOULS’ sound.

Alessio Garavello mixed and mastered the album at Rogue Studios in London. Morby of DOMINE appears as a special guest vocalist on ‘The War’. The announcement recommends the record to listeners of RHAPSODY OF FIRE, STRATOVARIUS, SONATA ARCTICA and NIGHTWISH.

The complete album is available through the album listening link, while Rockshots offers the digipak CD edition.

Founded by drummer and composer Michele Olmi, EMBRACE OF SOULS began as a studio project built around collaboration and a shared interest in classic metal. Their debut album, The Number Of Destiny, arrived in 2021. The supplied biography reports positive international feedback, including acclaim in Japan, as the project developed into a full live band.

Their second full-length, Forever Part Of Me, followed in 2024, during a period of line-up changes and further songwriting development. Rossi, who had already participated in earlier releases, now holds a central lead-vocal role, while soprano Mazzeo supplies the symphonic and operatic dimension.

The announced line-up comprises Rossi and Mazzeo on vocals, Edward De Rosa on guitars, Xavier Rota on bass, Davide Baldelli on keyboards and Olmi on drums. Fornasini’s keyboard contribution is specifically credited to the performance captured in the new video.

EMBRACE OF SOULS have shared stages with DOMINE, VISION DIVINE, STRATOVARIUS, SONATA ARCTICA and RHAPSODY OF FIRE. According to the announcement, the band are also working on new material, continuing their epic, narrative-driven approach.

EMBRACE OF SOULS will perform alongside HEAVENFALL at Dedolor on October 24, 2026, for Rockshots Night.

The announcement also lists two expected November appearances: Saturday, November 14 at Revolver Club in S. Donà di Piave, with special guest ARCANA OPERA – A.W. and opening act LENITY LAKE; and Sunday, November 29 at Druso Bergamo for Malpaga Winter Night.
