Dutch black metal trio ASGRAUW will release its new album Solips on November 12 via Zwaertgevegt, Hidden Marly Production and JEM’s label. The band has also unveiled a music video for the track “Confabulatie” ahead of the album’s arrival.
Solips follows the earlier single “Schaduwganger,” which was issued in August. The new record will be available in multiple formats, including vinyl, cassette and Bandcamp digital release.
The album contains eight songs: “Confabulatie,” “Verblind,” “Chronisch,” “Nachtstorm,” “Schaduwganger,” “Manipulatie,” “Atanna” and “Nadirflux.” According to the announcement, the material was developed entirely by the band, with ASGRAUW handling the writing, recording and mixing internally. Credits list Batr for recording, mixing and mastering, while lyrics were written by Kaos and Vaal. The release artwork was created by Ronarg.
One guest contribution appears on the record, with horns on “Confabulatie” performed by Izzy.
ASGRAUW’s current lineup is Kaos on bass and vocals, Vaal on guitars and vocals, and Batr on drums and synths. The Dutch group is scheduled to celebrate the album with a release party on November 14 at Maddogs in Groesbeek, Netherlands.
The band described Solips as “an attack on the illusion of shared reality.”
