A new video accompanies PERPETUAL WARFARE’s Spanish-language single “N.N. (6402),” which vocalist and guitarist Camilo Muñoz describes as an effort to confront concealed violence in Colombia. The Bogotá thrash quartet’s second single follows “Nihil Sumus”; both tracks appear on a double A-side seven-inch limited to 300 copies on bone-colored vinyl.
“‘N.N. (6402)’ tells a story that Colombia’s power elites have tried to hide. We are bringing it to light — no censorship, no curtains, just the reality that many Colombians lived through. No one can erase history,” Muñoz says in the announcement.
He explains the dedication behind the song: “This song is a tribute to all the victims of what we consider a state policy of genocide, people like you and me killed by the power of state.” His statement places the track within PERPETUAL WARFARE’s broader lyrical focus on war, corruption, socio-political collapse and existential struggles.
The seven-inch is advertised as available by mail order from M-Theory Audio and the band’s Bandcamp page, as well as at their shows. According to the announcement, copies ship from the United States or Colombia depending on the buyer’s location. The single is also available digitally.
M-Theory Audio announced the band’s signing before the new single. A full-length is planned under the label’s banner, with the announcement describing its intended release window as “next spring” but supplying no album title or exact release date.
Brothers Camilo Muñoz and bassist Wilson Muñoz formed PERPETUAL WARFARE in 2006. Their approach draws on 1980s Bay Area and Teutonic thrash alongside modern Latin American influences. The quartet’s album history began with Justicia, Libertad y Decadencia in 2010, followed by The Age of War in 2013 and Earthliens in 2018, with EPs, singles and splits also forming part of their catalog.
Drummer Esteban Díaz joined in 2014, while lead guitarist Camilo Solórzano joined in 2022. The band’s independent activity has included establishing Wild Noise Productions. The supplied biography also documents performances in more than 20 countries, including 35 shows in the United States and European dates alongside Japanese band Abigail.
