Self-confidence and empowerment drive VESSELES’ new single, “Until They Are Dust (Reclaimed),” released with an accompanying music video. Featuring founder Valira’s vocals, the track previews Home (Reclaimed), the symphonic black metal project’s forthcoming full-length, scheduled for March 26, 2027.
The song approaches those themes through Valira’s demonic-origin narrative, expanding the mythology of “The Beneath.” In the announcement distributed by C Squared Music, this realm is described as “a horrific cursed sludge” that consumes humans and births a new generation of demons. That worldbuilding provides the setting for the single’s exploration of growing confidence and the power that comes with it.
The broader album examines identity and belonging through the discomfort of defining home for someone outside the human world. Recorded with Valira’s own vocals, Home (Reclaimed) is described in the announcement as combining piano-driven leads, symphonic arrangements, dissonant passages and progressions intended to convey their experience. VESSELES serves as Valira’s artistic outlet for exploring identity, survival and transformation.
Valira Nyvran composed the music and contributes vocals, guitars, orchestrations and lyrics, joined by bassist Ron Graves and drummer Nikolas Brön. Nick Loiacono produced, mixed and mastered the album at Fang Studios in San Mateo, California.
Guest contributions come from session pianist Antonio Giardina and The Vicken Studios Orchestra, which supplies choir chants on “Eternally Within Us (Reclaimed).” Mark Erskine created the album cover artwork.
Founded in 2023, VESSELES released the debut EP I Am A Demon in 2024. The debut full-length, Home, followed at the turn of 2026, exploring identity, belonging and the mythology of a demon cast into the human world. The forthcoming Home (Reclaimed) places Valira’s vocal performance within that established conceptual framework.
The announced nine-track running order begins with “Flesh Throne (Reclaimed)” (5:16), “Eternally Within Us (Reclaimed)” (4:59), “The Beneath (Reclaimed)” (5:14) and “Home (Reclaimed)” (6:10). It continues with “They Wither… (Reclaimed)” (1:32), “Until They Are Dust (Reclaimed)” (3:11), “Scriptures Etched Into the Mind’s Pillars (Reclaimed)” (3:42), “Perpetual Chasm of Black Mirrors (Reclaimed)” (5:02) and “This Is Not Home (Reclaimed)” (7:08).
