WE CAME AS ROMANS have released “where did you go? O” featuring Headwreck, pairing the reimagined track with an official visualiser. The collaboration revisits a song from their 2025 album ALL IS BEAUTIFUL… BECAUSE WE'RE DOOMED and appears on ALL IS BEAUTIFUL… BECAUSE WE'RE DOOMED: CIRCULARITY, due November 6 via SharpTone Records.
The connection began on the road in Australia. In the announcement supplied by Cosa Nostra PR, vocalist Dave Stephens explains that touring together gave the two bands an opportunity to become friends before working on the song.
“We became friends with Headwreck while touring together in Australia, and we’ve been fans of their music for a while now,” Stephens says. “What we appreciate about them is their approach to making music and the sense of fun that comes through in everything they do. There’s a great personality to their sound and the way they carry themselves both on and off stage, which made them a perfect fit for ‘where did you go.’ We were excited to hear their take on the song and give them room to bring that part of themselves to it.”
That freedom to reshape existing material runs throughout CIRCULARITY. The collection combines six reimagined collaborations with four new songs, expanding the original album’s life, death and rebirth concept. Its new opening sequence comprises “WHEN EVERYTHING IS STILL,” “DEAD SILENT” featuring Make Them Suffer, “BORN FROM NOTHING” and “SPEAK TO EXIST.” These tracks occupy the conceptual passage between the original closing song, “BECAUSE WE’RE DOOMED,” and the opening “ALL IS BEAUTIFUL…” as the album’s cycle begins again.
According to the announcement, the new material explores stillness, clarity and choice in the space between death and rebirth. The collaborators were also invited to rebuild their respective songs, producing companion versions with changes beyond an added guest vocal. Bury Tomorrow contribute a new chorus to “b2tm O,” while the Ladrones collaboration “culture wound O” incorporates flamenco guitar and is recorded entirely in Spanish. Stephens learned the language to communicate with his wife’s Colombian family.
The other reworkings are “bad luck O” with Currents and After The Burial, “red smoke O” with HEAVENSGATE, and “one by one O” with Rory Rodriguez of Dayseeker. Together with Headwreck’s contribution, they place the six alternate versions alongside their originals in the 23-track collection. The closing stretch retains “circling a dying sun,” “knowing pain,” “so lost (burning flowers)” and “BECAUSE WE’RE DOOMED.”
The Michigan band combines metalcore with electronics, groove-driven heavy passages and melodic choruses. Its history includes Tracing Back Roots, which reached the Billboard 200 Top 10 in 2013 and topped both the Independent Albums and Top Hard Rock Albums charts. The self-titled follow-up debuted at No. 11 on the Billboard 200 in 2015.
After original vocalist Kyle Pavone’s death in 2018, WE CAME AS ROMANS paid tribute to him on 2022’s Darkbloom. That record included “Black Hole” featuring Caleb Shomo and “Daggers” featuring Zero 9:36. The current lineup consists of Stephens on vocals, Joshua Moore and Lou Cotton on guitar, Andy Glass on bass and David Puckett on drums.
The announcement also outlines North American fall touring, including dates with Wage War, Varials, Cane Hill and The Funeral Portrait. Its listed itinerary runs from October 22 in Louisville through November 30 in Knoxville, with a Toronto stop on November 16. WE CAME AS ROMANS are also announced for the Emo’s Not Dead Cruise from January 22–27, 2027, sailing from Miami to Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas.
